G7 & Fresh events are proud to announce that Senegalese rapper AKON will be returning for a solo concert in Malta on August 14. The singer-songwriter is known as one of the most successful and versatile R&B singers of the last decade.

AKON rose to prominence in 2004 following the release of 'Locked Up', the first single from his debut album 'Trouble'. He is the first solo artist to hold both the number one and two spots simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 charts twice. He has had six Grammy Awards nominations and produced hits for artists such as Lady Gaga and Leona Lewis. A number of hit singles were released since then.

Paul Oakenfold, one of the Pioneers of Dance Music, will be supporting AKON for this show. Oakenfold will be headlining the concert's official after-party.

The Concert starts at 19.00 and finishes at 02.00. The after-party kicks off at 00.00 till 04.00.

Early Bird Tickets sell at €30 and are available from all SunLab and Chemimart outlets in Malta and Gozo.

Concert-Only tickets (Under 17s) sell for €25 and may be purchased from all McDonald's restaurants in Malta and Gozo.

VIP tickets sell at €60 and may be purchased from Chequers in Paceville and SunLab (Sliema, Valletta, Baystreet).
